Douglas Cape was commissioned to create this 360º panaroma of the show by Giles Perring and Andy Metcalf on the Isle of Lewis. Giles’ sound installation for the exhibition was set out in the church’s upper story to convey the layout of the notes of his Sound Sculpture, the World Organ, on Jura. Eight tubes point in the direction of the Cardinal Points [the points of the compass], and the speaker set up conveyed the enveloping quality of the sound that the World Organ captures.
